August 22, 2008 Opening Reception Friday September 5, 7 – 9 pm September 5 – October 11, 2007 The show at Burning Man is held August 25th – September 1. One week before the show at Circus Gallery. Please join at Circus Gallery for the opening reception of It’s a Celebration %?(#&$! And join us the week before at the Black Rock Desert 140 miles north of Reno Nevada for the show at Burning Man. Artists participating in the show are: Ethan Ayer, Heather Cantrell, Scott Marvel Cassidy, Sarah Cromarty, Summer Cooper, Christian Cummings, Marie Cummings, Mariah Csepanyi, Justin Hansch, Doug Harvey, Dawn Kasper, John Knuth, Pentti Monkkonen, Brian Randolph, Ry Rocklen, Eduardo Sarabia, Jim Shaw, and Marnie Weber. The show at Burning Man is going to take place in various places around the Burning Man festival. A Jim Shaw painting will be held by a burner standing in the desert. An Eduardo Sarabia plate could be leaned up against an art car for the afternoon. A Ry Rocklin sculpture could find a home on a pile of rocks on the out skirts of the festival. A painting by Justin Hansch could be secured to the front of our car as a hood ornament. The interactions with the art at Burning Man are all going to be documented and the art and the documentation are going to be brought back to Circus Gallery and put on display at the gallery for the month of September. |
