About Michael G. Bauer, Lindsay Brant, Sky Burchard, Sarah Cromarty, Justin Hansch, Katie Herzog, Adam Janes, Dawn Kasper, James Krone, Lauren Lavitt, Brett Lund, Kiersten Puusemp, Laura Riboli, Daniel Ruanova, Jason Starr. Join us for Circus Year featuring work from an eclectic group of 15 young artists who have all been featured at Circus Gallery this year. Although dissimilar in medium and concept, all the artists who have shown at the gallery in the past year have a unique view of the world and a unique way of making work. The Gallery opened in March of 2007, formed around the idea that artist should be supported where ever their vision may go whether it be performance, drawing, sculpture, video or curating. In less than a year, we have mounted attention-getting group and solo shows. In the coming year we are going to be concentrating on solo shows maintaining the same energy and excitement about the art and the artists we have coming out of our first year. Circus Gallery is also introducing the The Confederacy for Creative Ephemera a new gallery directed by Michael G. Bauer inside Circus Gallery. The inaugual show at the Confederacy is “Compound Objects from the Spy that Loves You” curated by Ami Tallman with work by Jonathan Ballak, Veronica De Jesus, Katie Grinnan, Xana Kudrjavcev DeMilner, and Kelly Sears. |
